Euphorbia Tirucalli ‘Pencil Cactus’

Euphorbia Tirucalli 'Pencil Cactus', a drought tolerant succulent.

While the Euphorbia Tirucalli can be a very rewarding plant, we must be very careful in where we plant them and in propagation. The milky white latex found in the plant can be dangerous to the skin and most definitely will cause serious damage if swallowed, or if any amount gets into the eyes. While we want to raise awareness of the potential dangers of the plant, we don’t wont to scare users off. Many euphorbia, including poinsettia’s, can be poisonous, but this shouldn’t stop us from enjoying them. Think twice about where you’ll be planting your Pencil Cactus and make sure to always where gloves when handling cuttings.
