Q: What inspired you to join the CGH Succulents team?
A: I’ve always been drawn to the plant world, but I wasn’t sure where I’d fit in. During a horticulture class at OCC before COVID, I discovered California Greenhouses. That class turned out to be my gateway to a career I love.
Q: How has your role evolved since you started working here?
A: I began as a cashier in Irvine five years ago. Over time, I’ve embraced multiple roles, learning valuable skills along the way. Today, I’m proud to serve as a Sales Representative for garden centers and plant shops, while also managing marketing efforts.
Q: What’s your favorite thing about working with plants every day?
A: Seeing new plant varieties arrive weekly is such a thrill. I love sharing those discoveries with my customers and witnessing their excitement. It’s all about spreading joy!
Q: What’s one of your favorite memories from your time at CGH?
A: I’m fortunate to visit garden centers and plant shops as part of my job—a dream come true for someone who enjoys exploring them in their free time. Every shop has its own charm, and I love discovering what makes each one unique.
Q: Do you have a favorite succulent or plant?
A: Hanging plants are my absolute favorite. They add the perfect pop of color to any space. Right now, I’m obsessed with my Rat Tail cactus. It blooms with vibrant pink flowers every spring, and I’m so proud of how it’s thriving. Check out this care guide for Cacti and Succulents.
Q: Have you worked on any personal plant projects inspired by CGH?
A: No big projects yet, but I often find myself redecorating my home with new plants—especially in spring. Gardening has become my go-to way to destress and bring peace into my life.
