Where can I find pricing and availability?
Pricing and availability can be accessed through your personal account on our website. If you’re a first-time user, simply go to Cal Greenhouses Login Page and use the “Forgot Password” tool to gain access. Once logged in, you can select your location and top-level category, such as Irvine > Houseplants. From there, you can view the pricing and availability and even print your list for your convenience.
Do all your locations carry the same material?
No, while our locations in Irvine, Whittier, and Torrance carry similar selections, each location has its own unique specialty.
- Cardiff focuses on larger specimen plants and offers a variety of smaller interior tropicals.
- Irvine, our largest location, carries everything we offer, including succulents, agave, cactus, euphorbia, and a large selection of blooming and tropical plants.
- Torrance has a smaller inventory compared to Irvine but can fulfill most orders.
- Whittier, our newest location, has a smaller inventory that mirrors Irvine’s selection.
Material is dispersed across locations, but availability isn’t always guaranteed unless a special order is confirmed.
When do you receive new plants/shipments?
We receive shipments daily! Multiple shipments arrive each week from both in-state and out-of-state sources, as well as store-to-store transfers. Here’s the breakdown of when specific plants arrive:
- Irvine:
- Succulents on Monday, Tuesday, and Saturday.
- Houseplants from Monday to Thursday.
- Larger specimens from Thursday to Saturday.
- Irvine Interior Plants:
- Tuesday – Wednesday: Blooming plants
- Monday – Thursday: 2”, 4”, 6”, 8″ plants.
- Wednesday – Friday: Specimens plants from out of state 10”+
- Irvine Exterior Plants:
- Monday – Tuesday : 2″ & 4″ Succulents.
- Monday – Wednesday: A mix of Succulents, Agave Cacti including 4”- 8” & 5g+
What is your return policy?
You can return plants within 5 business days as long as the plant has not been damaged or removed from its original grow pot. Please note special orders, containers and accessories are not returnable. A 20% restocking fee may be applied. Be sure to inspect your order upon delivery and contact us promptly if there’s an issue.
What is your delivery policy?
We offer local delivery for a minimum purchase of $775. Delivery fees range from $75 to $500, depending on the distance from the greenhouse where the material is being shipped.
- Delivery Restrictions: Drivers are not permitted to enter residences or businesses. All deliveries are made to the curb where the driver parks. A receiver must be there to sign for the order.
- Out-of-Area Delivery: For locations outside the local area, the shipping fees will be based on service costs and whether a lift gate is needed. Locations north of Los Angeles County are subject to the CDFA Pierce’s Disease Control Program. Receivers will need to obtain an Ag release once the product arrives. We will provide a Blue Tag and Certificate of Quarantine Compliance.
Is there a minimum purchase amount for will call orders?
No, there is no minimum purchase amount required for will call orders. You can pick up any material, no matter the size of the order.
My business is not in Southern California, how can I place an order?
If your business is located outside Southern California, you can still place an order online by selecting ‘Shipping’ at checkout and by contacting your Sales Rep. We will assist with arranging out-of-state shipments and provide the necessary details about our shipping policy.
Who can use my account?
You can add associates to your account either online or at the nursery. Individuals who need to use your account should be added first before they can log in and place orders. https://calgreenhouses.com/my-account/edit-account/
Can you transfer material from one location to another if it is more convenient for me to pick up?
Yes, we have transfer trucks that operate once a week to each location. If it’s more convenient for you to pick up material from a different location, we can help arrange that for you.
Can I place an order and pick it up? How long does that take?
Absolutely! You can place an order for pickup. In most cases, we can have it ready for you either the same day or the next day.
