Q: How did you get started with the company?
A: I followed Teresa from our TG location! She suggested I apply, and I did. Cesar, Sergio, and Alfonso were my first supervisors—big shoutout to them! And of course, honorary mention to Dave, the real OG!
Q: What has your journey been like within the company?
A: I started off in the succulent crew, then transitioned to sales. When the opportunity to transfer to Cardiff came up, I took it—new city, new area, new people. It felt like an excellent challenge, and now I’m a proud manager of an amazing team in this great company.
Q: What’s a favorite memory you’ve had at work?
A: One afternoon, we had a carne asada celebration with the team and customers. That day, I really realized how strong our bond with customers is—it was an awesome experience!
Q: Do you have a favorite plant?
A: Philo Birkins, hands down! The foliage is incredible, and it was the first plant I ever gifted to my mom.
Q: Do you have plants at home?
A: I have a few, but I leave the care to my roommates. I just admire the new foliage when it appears!
Q: How would you describe your team?
A: Amazing, hardworking, and understanding.
Q: What’s your favorite thing about working with plants?
A: It’s such a unique job! Every day feels the same, but different. You meet all kinds of people, gain new knowledge about plants, and get to experience the small yet incredibly sophisticated world of the plant business.
