Contemporary Succulents

Contemporary gardens are becoming more and water wise and are more appealing for their easy-care. The gardens contain lots of stone, wood, and bold containers with architectural plants. The plants, not used as lushly, stand out even more. The clean lines of the Euphorbia Tirucalli, or “Pencil Cactus”, is just an example of one the many architectural plants available. Succulents have a “perfect” nature about them. Symmetry and strong lines come to mind. A contemporary garden tends to show off these features more because they aren’t competing against each other, but are being highlighted in contrasting elements.
