The fatter, or more succulent the leaves, the longer they are able to go without water. Take notice on your succulents, which ones tend to like more, or less water, and the shape of their leaves. Most echeveria, not all, tend to have rather succulent leaves. The EcheveriaAgavoides ‘Lipstick’ above is a great example of a succulent succulent.
